MARCOS, Ilocos Norte (Aug. 30) – Regin Silvestre wanted to relax, so went to the red light district at Brgy. Cacasoyan here on Sunday night. Too bad, he had a heated altercation with the alleged manager of the beer joint. Silvestre ignored the incident. The suspect left the place and when he returned, he was already armed with handgun. Gunshot rung out and Silvestre was fatally shot.
“There was an attempt by a town council resolution to close down the red light district here due to crime incidents but strong opposition prevailed,” said Vice Mayor Jonel Rosqueta.
