SOLSONA, Ilocos Norte (Aug. 3) – A grade 5 school teacher was shot dead by still unidentified motorcyclists riding in tandem in this town on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the victim Rhodell Don Legaspi, 42 and a resident of Barangay Juan of this town, was on his way home aboard his motorcycle when he was gunned down.
Insp. Juliferr Narag, chief of PNP-Solsona said investigators were looking into Legaspi’s alleged involvement in illegal drugs.
He was ranked 14th on the town’s list of drug personalities.
Police recovered 9 empty shells of bullets for caliber .45 pistol at the crime scene.
Nicanor Legaspi, the victim’s father said he has no idea about his son’s alleged involvement in illegal drugs.
The young Legaspi was a Grade 5 adviser at Manalpac Elementary School in said town. (tsg)
