DINGRAS, Ilocos Norte (Jan. 28) – Former Dingras Mayor Marynette Gamboa, one of the respondents in the slay case of the late INEC board president Lorenzo Ruiz, expressed distraught over the allegations of Gov. Imee Marcos that the counsels of the complainant are being harassed.
Gamboa’s denial came right after the court hearing of the motion to quash of said case as she maintained her innocence of the Ruiz slay.
She vehemently denied report that the reason of the withdrawal of the lawyers as counsels of the complaint was that they were being harassed by the camp of Gamboa.
She said the governor’s allegation might set the minds of the public against her if in case something bad happens to these counsels, as well as the prosecutors and the judge hearing the case. (Theo S. Guiang)
