LAOAG CITY, Dec. 26–Rayver Fariñas, a motorcycle dealer-bill collector, was shot and wounded by a lone gunman outside a videoke bar here where he and companions had a night drinking spree.
Police said the victim and his companions were about to leave the place aboard their car when the gunman approached them and shot Fariñas (not related to Congressman Rudy Fariñas).
A witness said the suspect fled west ward and rode a motorcycle driven by his accomplice at the nearby jeepney terminal.
Supt. Jeffrey Gorospe, city police chief, said the hospitalized victim could not yet talk about the incident due to the slug embedded in his chin.(ga/jpg)
