SAN NICOLAS, Ilocos Norte, June 24– At least four businessmen in this town have received extortion demand via cellphone text messages from a lone suspect posing as NPA commander. The suspect had asked for big amount of money and threatened to kill them if thr ey ignore his demand. Police provincial director Marlou Chan tagged the suspect as fake NPA man and plain extortionist noting that Ilocos Norte is insurgency-free.(bbr)
