SOLSONA, Ilocos Norte (Aug. 6) – A former overseas Filipino worker allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself inside their house in Brgy. Darasdas, this town, police reported.
Report said relatives saw the lifeless body of 31-year-old Clarence Concepcion at lunch time hanging inside his room. A nylon cord was looped around his neck.
Barangay Chairman Melecio de los Santos said that since Clarence arrived from Saudi Arabia, he became recluse inside their house. He seldom talked and mingled with people.
While working in Saudi, relatives learned that Concepcion allegedly had a head injury from an accidental fall in a building.
They added that it could not be confirmed if that head injury had affected Clarence’s brain. The recent death of his father may have also depressed Clarence, others said. His wife works as OFW in Malaysia. (theo s. guiang/bbr)
