Ex-judge’s house burned

LAOAG CITY, Oct. 23–The old residential house of the late retired Judge Ignacio Salvador at Brgy. 17 here was burned during a fire that struck before midnight yesterday, report said.

Senior Fire Officer I Rolly Domingo said nobody lived in the house. It has a caretaker identified as Editha Lamug of Brgy. Uno, this city.

Responding firemen quickly contained the fire and prevented it from spreading to the adjacent houses.

Lawyer Salvador, uncle of Ilocos Times publisher Jay S. Ramos, served as RTC judge in Quezon City during President Fidel Ramos’ administration.(tsg/bbr)
