Erring cop suspended for 2 months

CAMP JUAN, Laoag City, (Dec. 7) – Former Paoay town police chief, Sr. Insp. Rodel del Castillo, current head of INPPO’s Provincial Personnel Human Resources, was ordered suspended for two months for alleged administrative dishonesty effective Monday, Dec.5.

Investigation showed that Del Castillo, then Paoay police chief,  was found to have lied when he reported that a resident who was the subject of a search warrant had voluntarily surrendered explosives and ammunition in his possession when in fact the said items were confiscated during the search operation.

Provincial police director S/Supt. Jose MelencioNartatez, Jr. said Del Castillo’s explanation was unbelievable citing that the elements of search warrant had taken place during the operation.
