Dentist’s car robbed

LAOAG CITY, Nov. 22–A car, owned by a certain Dr. Geraldine Vicente, was ransacked by robbers on Monday dawn carting away her shoulder bag containing US$400, P2,000 cash and assorted ATM cards.

The car was parked overnight on the sidewalk fronting his boarding house on a city street at Brgy. 12 here. The suspects broke one of the car’s windows and divested the victim’s valuables.

A concerned resident said a similar robbery incident also happened last September when a car parked in the street was victimized by thieves.

Supt. Edwin Balles, city police chief, advised car owners not to park their vehicles on the streets overnight. It is also unsafe to leave valuables inside the car that attract robbers, he added.
