A relative gave the remarks after Danilo was allegedly bludgeoned by a pal during a drinking spree at Brgy. Cabuluan, this town.
She said he probably paid in tragic way for being talkative whenever he got drunk.
Danilo died two days later in the hospital due to head injury. Police said they recovered a piece of tree branch believed to have been used in hitting his head.
The suspect, who escaped after the incident, is being hunted by a police dragnet.
