City to establish P10M mobile clinic

LAOAG CITY, Oct 30  — The city government of Laoag will establish a mobile clinic after the Sangguniang Panlungsod Council approved the use of the Local Disaster Risk Management Fund for the said equipment.
SP Secretary Enrico Aurelio said the budget approved for the purchase of said mobile is P10 million.

The mobile clinic will be used for emergency medical response, especially during calamities and disasters.

It will be used by the “Rang-ay iti Barangay” program of the city government.

Rang-ay iti Barangay program helps in carrying-out city government’s program in education, health and livelihood to different barangays in the city.

Aurelio believes that the mobile clinic is a great help to people in delivering efficient medical services to people especially during emergency situations like disasters and calamities.

The mobile clinic is equipped with life-saving devices such as X-ray machine, electrocardiogram or ECG machine and hospital bed.

Laoag City is composed of 80 barangays where Rang-ay iti Barangay is conducted. (ANL/CDG-PIA 1, Ilocos Norte)
