LAOAG CITY–Northwestern University’s lady fresh law graduate Carla Hokulani D. Machado is gone from this world. But why her untimely demise was done in cold blood?
Cops remained baffled as to the real motive behind her assassination. In that fateful night of June 18, 2013, cops said Carla was driving her car on the way home to Brgy. Sta. Rosa, this city. Her co-occupants in the car were husband Aaron and their 11-year-old son.
Somewhere along the way in Brgy. Mangato, two armed men riding in tandem waylaid them. Luckily, her slightly wounded husband and unhurt son managed to escape under the cover of darkness.
The Machado family formerly lived in Hawaii. Aaron is an American while Carla was a Fil-Am.
They have been long staying in Laoag as they run an Spa saloon business in downtown Laoag.
Carla took up law at NWU and graduated last April, 2013. She was reviewing in Baguio City for this year’s bar exam. Her cherished dream to become a lawyer was now in vain.
