Cagayan farmer survives fall

 

SAN NICOLAS, Ilocos Norte, Feb. 01–Joel Tayama, a farmer from Brgy. Curva, Pamplona, Cagayan, survived an accidental fall early this morning from the second floor of an unfinished residential house in the outskirt of this town.

Joe Tungpalan Sr. said the victim was unconscious due to a head injury when they rescued him at the ground floor where he landed.

Tungpalan said the victim and his companions from Pamplona arrived here to plant rice. They stayed at the unfinished house of Tungpalan’s son.

Earlier at night, they had a drinking spree and slept there. When the victim woke up at dawn to piss, he apparently lost his balance at the ungrilled second floor and accidentally fell to the ground.

A report said the victim is now recuperating at the MMMHospital in Batac City.(tsg w/ report from ej)
