SARRAT, Ilocos Norte (Dec. 1) – A businessman, who was on his way to deliver his meat products to the market was waylaid by still unidentified car-riding assailants in Brgy. 4, of this town, lawmen reported.
Police authorities identified the victim as Paricio Ganut, Jr., a resident of Brgy. 24, of the same town.
Ganut had a companion aboard a kurong-kurong (motorcycle with improvised sidecar) when the incident happened. The latter survived the ambush unscathed.
Police, who are still conducting follow-up investigation, recovered several empty shells of .45 caliber and 9mm pistol at the crime. (Theo S. Guiang)
