LAOAG CITY, JAN. 3–Cesar Baptista, a barangay tanod of Apaya, this city allegedly drowned while swimming along the beach off Brgy. Gabu here, a group of fishers said.
Jimmy Padua said he and his fellow “Ipon” fishermen rescued the victim when they saw him floating in the water. They applied first aid on the victim after they called the DPS ambulance for help, he added.
Report said the drowning incident occurred as the victim and his fellow barangay officials of Apaya went picnicking at the Gabu beach as their extended Christmas party.(tsg w/ ga report)
