MARCOS, Ilocos Norte (Nov. 21)– A barangay kagawad of Dingras, Ilocos Norte survived a shooting incident in Brgy. Pacifico, Marcos, Ilocos Norte.
The victim identified as Edwin Bumanglag, 42, resident of Brgy. Ver, Dingras, was shot and wounded in the back by motorcyclists riding in tandem.
He was rushed to Gov. Roque Ablan Sr. Memorial Hospital in Laoag City and was later transferred to the Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital in Batac City.
Initial investigation showed that Bumanglag was on his way home aboard his motorcycle when one of the assailants fired at him.
Police authorities said motive of the assassination attempt was not yet determined.
