SAN NICOLAS, Ilocos Norte (Nov. 15) – A newly-elected barangay kagawad was shot and killed by still unidentified suspects in nearby Barangay 51-B Nangalisan, Laoag City, last night.
Chief Inspector Jay De Guzman, chief of police of said town, reported that the victim identified as Roberto Molina, 50, and resident of Brgy. 1, San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, succumbed to gunshot wounds in the back and left shoulder.
Investigation showed that Molina was inside a store when the suspects arrived and shot him at close range.
Police recovered four empty shells of cal. 45 bullets at the crime scene. (edg)
