Bakery owner killed, bro wounded

LAOAG CITY (Sept. 26) – A businessman was killed while his companion was wounded when they were waylaid by still unidentified gunmen riding in tandem along the national road of Brgy. Salet-Bulangon in this city.

Police identified the victim as Romeo San Juan, 37, owner of a bakery shop. He was a native of Bulacan but married to his wife from Brgy. Lagui-Sail, this city where he resided.

Initial investigation showed that San Juan was driving his delivery truck along the Vintar Road when the gunmen riding in a motorcycle shot the victim.

The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds. His companion, who is also his elder brother, was also wounded in the attack.

San Juan was stuck inside his vehicle for one hour as rescuers had a hard time pulling him. (Theo S. Guiang)
