LAOAG CITY – Governor Imee Marcos has expressed interest in establishing farmers animal shelter in every barangay in the province.
She said that these structures will be used to shelter farm animals and other livestocks in case of impending natural calamities such as typhoons and floods.
To come up with this, she called all residents of each barangay to help cooperate with their respective barangay officials in the construction of these shelters.
She made this proposal when she learned that many livestock from Barangays San Marcelino and Baresbes in Dingras had perished in recent typhoons and floodings. (Theo S. Guiang)
