BACARRA, Ilocos Norte, Nov. 25– A two-meter long python, believed to be responsible for the disappearance of many native chickens and ducks in the village, was captured and killed by angry folks in Brgy. Pungto, this town.
Agnes, a witness, described the python as big as her thigh. It was trapped by a fishing net on the farm, she said.
It probably descended from the mountainous forest and roamed around here to devour our astray chickens and ducks, she told reporters.
When the able-bodied men arrived, she said they vented their ire on the python and pummeled it to death.
It was learned that the menfolk butchered the python for finger foods.(tsg)
