DINGRAS, Ilocos Norte, Nov. 17–Thick smoke seen in the sky led to the discovery of allegedly stolen
telephone cable wires in Brgy. Cali, this town. At least over 50 kilos of burned bronze wires were seized by joint police team from Dingras and Marcos towns during an operation in the house of barangay tanod, tagged as cohort of the suspects who fled when they saw the approaching cops, C/I Nelson Pacalso, police chief, told newsmen.

PIDDIG, Ilocos Norte, Nov. 14– “I am not revengeful so I reinstated her.” Municipal Mayor Eddie Guillen uttered the remarks as he implemented a Civil Service Commission order reinstating Rosalinda Jose to her position as Local Civil Registry Officer of this town. Ms. Jose was dismissed from service by then Mayor Augustus Salazar years . ago. She appealed and elevated her case to the CSC which favored her recently. Salazar is the father-in-law of Mayor Guillen.
