FR. RABAGO NAMED DIOCESE AD’NISTRATOR

LAOAG CITY, Aug. 20–Nine priests, who composed Board of Consultors, elected Father Noel Ian Rabago as administrator of Laoag Diocese following the exit of Bishop Sergio L. Utleg, now newly-installed Archbishop of Tuguegarao Diocese in Cagayan province. Fr. Rabago will oversee the Diocese here until a new bishop will be appointed by Vatican in Rome.

DINGRAS, Ilocos Norte, Aug. 19–“Panagtudo ti yelo” or hailstones rattled roofings sending villagers of Suyo, this town into little panic. The first case of its kind in this place, the marble-sized hailstones melt in minutes. Some residents swallowed them on the belief that they cure illnesses or bring good luck.
