SARRAT, Ilocos Norte, Dec. 12–After one week, lawmen confirmed that they found an ID card of a retired army soldier inside a passenger van which was earlier abandoned in Lagui-Sail, Laoag City when the owner of a stolen goat from this town chased the vehicle.
The van is now impounded at the police station here.
Investigators said at least three suspects were aboard the van carrying the alleged stolen goat. They freed the goat in Brgy. Bacsil before they abandoned the vehicle.
Probers said LTO had record that the van was registered in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija and the owner’s name is different from that of the soldier who allegedly hails from Ilocos Norte.(tsg/kl-ga)
