SOLSONA, Ilocos Norte, Jan. 8– Police said today they could not yet pinpoint any suspects behind the alleged “hot” logs in 80 flitches which were found abandoned in a lot at Brgy. Sta. Ana, this town last week.
Inspector Leonardo Tolentino, town police chief, said they were clueless on the identity of the person who owns the cut logs. The lawmen had seized the logs believed to be narra with an estimated high value.
Tolentino said they will turn over the logs into the custody of DENR in Laoag City for safekeeping while they conduct further investigation.(tsg w/ va report)
