PNP Provincial director Sr. Supt. Marlou Chan disclosed that of Ilocos Norte’s 557 barangays at least 8 of them are listed as ‘hotspots’ by the Philippine National Police in the coming village polls.
He said that these barangays are found in the municipalities of Badoc, Bacarra, Dingras and Laoag City.
He, however, explained that these barangays are only classified as under 1st category, which is considered not alarming but needs sufficient attention.
