LAOAG CITY – The Provincial Health Office reported that dengue cases in the whole province have significantly dropped this year.
Dr. Josephine Ruedas, PHO head said that data shows that from January to November this year they recorded 776 dengue cases compared to 2,775 cases recorded for the same period last year.
She added that of the 776 cases there were no reported deaths compared to last year where there were 7 recorded deaths due to dengue.
She said that the 72% decrease was mainly the result of the commitment of every resident in all every community in the province and their continuing observance of the four o’clock habit. (tsg)
