LAOAG CITY – The three persons who were arrested for allegedly stealing goods in a big grocery store in this city belong to a robbery syndicate, Laoag City police head Supt. Edwin Balles reported.
Balles identified the suspects as Mary Ann Capuyan, JR Tungol and Dionisio Anoche.
He said that the suspects were apparently operating in Northern Luzon after they admitted responsible in the previous theft cases in nearby Batac City and in Candon City, Ilocos Sur.
Police authorities arrested the three suspects when someone tipped off of their unusual behavior inside the store.
Investigators said that seized from one of the suspects were stolen items such as powder milk drink, batteries, pasta and etc. valued at P30,000.
Recovered inside their get-away vehicle were other goods allegedly stolen from other business establishments, police said.
