LAOAG CITY (November 29) – SP member Dr. Rogelio Balbag, chairman of the committee on health at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan reported that the Hospital Management Council of the Gov. Roque B. Ablan Sr. Memorial Hospital has recommended the filing of administrative case against three government doctors of the province.
Balbag said that the council named Dr. Bong Tapia, Dr. Pichay and Dr. Noel Eclipse as prospective respondents in the administrative complaint. Dr. Jesusa Aguinaldo’s inclusion in the case is still being reviewed to determine if there is sufficient ground.
He added that the said recommendation shall be further reviewed by the provincial legal office before the formal filing of the case.
The complaint arose from the recent incident at GRASM Hospital wherein a comatose patient was admitted at the emergency room.
Relatives alleged that no doctors on duty were not at their respective posts during the crucial period when their patient badly needed the doctors’ medical services.
