2 jail wardens swap assignment

LAOAG CITY – The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology has installed J/Sr. Jerry Palalay as new jail warden of BJMP in Laoag City and J/Sr. Herminigildo Rivera as jail warden of BJMP-Batac City.

The two wardens swapped new assignment as both were overstaying in their respective tour of duty.

Palalay immediately implemented several notable projects such as vegetable gardening and dragon fruit planting by inmates at the jail vacant lot, it was learned.

He said that interested former inmates will be offered to learn mushroom production as a source of income.

Rivera, on his part, said he will replicate at the BJMP Batac his former projects at BJMP Laoag which succeeded under his leadership. (Theo S. Guiang)
