2 college students nabbed for drugs

Supt. Edwin Balles, city police chief, confirmed that two college students in Laoag City were apprehended in separate operations for their alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade.

Balles said the suspects’ customers were fellow students whom they allegedly sold shabu and marijuana cigarettes.

The latest apprehension was conducted on Monday, April 17 during a buy-bust operation at Brgy. 12, Laoag City.

The suspect is a junior engineering student, 21, single and a native of Marcos, Ilocos Norte.

Also arrested a few days ago is a graduating student of the same college. Seized from him were marijuana cigarettes.
