STA. LUCIA, Ilocos Sur (Jan. 25 – Two passengers buses collided on a national highway in Barangay Barangobong here on Tuesday, injuring at least 30 people including their drivers and conductors.
Witnesses said that the two vehicles involved were Partas and Maria de Leon buses.
According to Chief Insp. William Nerona, a spokesman of Ilocos Sur police office, said the driver of the Partas bus allegedly lost control of the steering wheel.
It initially slammed into a parked truck and then collided with the approaching Maria de Leon bus, Nerona said.
The Partas bus was bound for Laoag City while the De Leon bus was going to Manila. (tsg)
