100% of Batch 1 DOSTJLSS scholars, now employed

Five graduatescholars out of the five first batch of the Junior Level Science Scholarship (JLSS), were all accepted to teach in public schools in Ilocos Sur.

These science scholars can already start building and working for their dreams as they started teaching for this School Year 2016-2017. Mainly, Jeric Aren Dedicatoria, previously graduated as Magna Cum Laude was assigned at Teodoro Hernaez National High Schoolin Sta. Lucia, Ilocos Sur while Ronald Gamboa, Cum Laude started teaching at Palali National High School of same municipality.

Ms. Michell Pere who obtained Bachelor of Science in Education Major in Biological Science likewise,set out working at Amarao National High School in Sta. Cruz town.

On the other hand, Mr. Rodeney Rimbao qualified to teach at Dinalaoan, National High School in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur and Ramil Petines at Binacud, Integrated School in Sinait town of same province.

According to Ms. Ginee Tacasa, Scholarship Staff, all of them were product of Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College of different campuses in Ilocos Sur. In a statement, Ms. Tacasa said that through RA 10612 or JLSS, it could continuously strengthen science and technology education and inspire moreJunior level or third year scholar-graduates towards a career-path in science teaching.
