CEB pushes for more off-peak travel in 50% off system-wide seat sale

The Philippines’ largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific (PSE:CEB) highlights off-peak travel in a 50% off seat sale on all its international and domestic destinations. The seat sale is from August 5-7, 2011 or until seats last, for travel from September 1 to December 14, 2011.

CEB slashes 50% off its lowest year-round fares to 16 international destinations: Bangkok, Beijing, Brunei, Busan, Guangzhou, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Incheon, Jakarta, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Osaka, Singapore, Shanghai and Taipei.

Candice Iyog, CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution, said, “CEB encourages passengers save on airfare with this seat sale, and plan detailed itineraries around international events. They can travel from September to November to get the best deals on accommodations and tours.”

Guests can go to Singapore in time for the Grand Prix Season and the world’s only Formula One night race from September 23 to 25, 2011. Voted by CNNGo as “Best Global Showcase of Singapore,” the Grand Prix Season also plays host to Linkin Park this year, among other international headliners.

They may also visit Busan during the Busan International Film Festival from October 6 to 14, 2011. It is one of the largest film festivals in Korea, with over 300 films from 60 countries, outdoor performances and special events.

“Local and foreign guests can also use this off-peak seat sale to visit the Philippines’ more colorful and culturally rich festivals. CEB operates the more extensive network in the country, especially to its top tourist, beach and diving destinations,” Iyog added.

CEB flies to 34 domestic destinations including popular tourist destinations like Boracay, Cebu, Laoag, Puerto Princesa, Naga, Legazpi, Coron, Siargao, Surigao, Dumaguete, Cagayan de Oro and Davao.

Philippine festivals in September include the Tuna Festival in General Santos and the Penafrancia Festival in Naga. Meanwhile, the Masskara Festival in Bacolod and Buglasan Festival in Negros Oriental (Dumaguete) are slated this October.
