AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR GOV’T EMPLOYEES AVAILABLE AT HOUSING FAIR – VP BINAY

Vice President Jejomar C. Binay said the first Government Employees Housing Fair organized by the Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund) and Philippine Government Employees Association (PGEA) will provide government employees the chance to acquire decent and affordable housing.

He also said that it will also provide Pag-IBIG with an opportunity to discuss its programs, particularly its housing loan program, before government employees who are required to be members of the Fund.

With the theme “Disente at Abot-Kayang Pabahay para sa mga Kawani ng Gobyerno,” the housing fair opened Thursday at the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in East Avenue, Quezon City.
To show its support, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) said that members of the Philippine Government Employees Association (PGEA) can attend the fair on official time, but with permission from the head of agency.

Binay also urged Pag-IBIG members to visit the housing fair which showcases 1,900 housing units from the acquired assets of Pag-IBIG. He added that during the event, Pag-IBIG will give a 30 per cent discount for cash buyers and 25 per cent for housing loan borrowers.

At the fair will be a one-stop-shop of Pag-IBIG services to include pre-qualification of members for housing loan, computation of estimated loanable amount (provided the members present their latest payslips), verification of members’ contributions and multi-purpose loan payments, and general and housing loan queries.
