UNIQUE TRIANGLE HOUSE.

UNIQUE TRIANGLE HOUSE. Photo shows a Triangle Rest House built in three (3) weeks (Nov. 11-Dec. 3, 2014). Its floor area is 8 x 5. It is an annex of our ancestral home in Paoay, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. The construction work was done daily (except Sundays) by six local carpenters with no overtime. Materials used were 95% wood and screws, small-portion hollow blocks, sound-proof rubberized roofing. It has a second floor for master’s bedroom and guest’s room. The ground floor allots spaces for sofa set, dining table, kitchen and rest room. Construction cost was minimal. The prime mover behind this Triangle House project is the owner himself, our nephew Engr. Erwin Guiang Mamotos, who presently works as civil engineer in Qatar, Middle East. He designed and patterned it after the popular triangle houses in Paraguay, South America. He quaranteed it is typhoon-and-earthquake resistant. He arrived here in Ilocos recently for a one month vacation and scheduled to return to Qatar this week. Congrats Erwin for your proven expertise in marathon building construction!.
