In line with its goal to promote and support full agricultural development in the countryside, the City Government of Batac (CGB) through the City Agriculture Office initially distributed free inorganic fertilizers to 7,409 farmers from the 43 barangays of the city on August 11, 2017. Each beneficiary is set to receive 2 sacks of 50-kilogram fertilizer (one sack of urea and one sack of complete fertilizers) courtesy of CGB through the administration of Mayor Albert D. Chua (center). Funded from the city’s share of the RA 7171 Fund, the fertilizer distribution program is in line with Mayors Chua’s governance tagline, “Pabilgen ni Batacqueño para ti Sapasap a Progreso”.
