Representatives of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) assure that the construction of the Buted Bridge (see photo) in Brgy. Lataag, Laoag City will be completed within the first quarter of this year. They said they have already built the abutments or the substructures at the both ends of the bridge span wherein the superstructure will rest. The superstructure is a part of the bridge which supports traffic and includes deck, slab and girders. The 28 lineal meter-bridge is being built under the “Tulay ng Pangulo para sa Kaunlarang Pang-Agraryo Program” of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).
