As part of the Activity of “A Cause for August” is the celebration of Sight-Saving Month sponsored by the Optometrists Association of the Philippines, Ilocos Norte- Laoag City chapter on August 24, 2016 at the City Multi-Purpose Hall. This noble program was in coordination with the Laoag City Government under Mayor Chevylle V. Fariñas and Vice Mayor Michael V. Fariñas.
