The prominent Lao family of Laoag City tendered a birthday party on Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, in honor of their matriarch Mrs. Digna Lao who turned 100 years old.
The grand lady’s eight children and 60 grandchildren attended her birthday bash. She became widow 40 years ago.
Aside from positive thinking, her secret of longevity includes a vegetarian diet and loves walking as her exercise, said her son Derick Lao, a former city councilor of Laoag.
