PAOAY, Ilocos Norte, Jan. 5–Here’s a warning to all job seekers: Never trust a “recruiter” known only through the social media.
This warning was issued after the police received a complaint from a married couple here who claimed they were allegedly victimized by an illegal recruiter whom they met through the Facebook.
The couple (names withheld) said they met via Facebook a certain Ronaldo Diaz Fajardo from Nueva Ecija and presently working in Singapore.
Fajardo allegedly offered an overseas job for them in Malaysia.
Last August 2017, the couple said they sent to Fajardo some P70,000 cash as processing fee for their application papers and other documents.
Lately, the couple became suspicious when they lost contact with Fajardo as he already de-activated his Facebook account, and e-mail address.(tri-media report)
