2 CSU guards axed for theft

LAOAG CITY, Sept. 5–City Mayor Chevylle Farinas dismissed from service the two Civil Security Unit employees who were found guilty of “stealing” goods from the city public market where they were assigned as night guards last Sunday, Sept. 3, market superintendent Sheila de Leon reported.

The two (their names were withheld by Sentinel to save them from shame) were accused of stealing assorted goods valued at P14,000, the report said.

Both admitted their offense when police showed CCTV footages on their alleged theft activities that night at the Laoag City commercial complex.(tri-media report)
