Woman inmate escapes ala-James Bond lady

LAOAG CITY, Dec. 15–Perhaps, this woman inmate is fond of watching James Bond action movies.
Last Wednesday, she staged her great escape from the Ilocos Norte Provincial Jail here, ala-James Bond lady-style.

At the height of the visiting hours, she sneaked into the restroom, stripped her color orange prison uniform, changed it with a black shirt and wore a goggle in total disguise.

When she spotted a flock of outgoing jail visitors at the gate, the woman inmate in disguised attire clandestinely mixed with the group.

At this juncture, she dashed to freedom sans notice by the lone assigned jail guard and trustee at the jail steel gate.

An alarm was flashed provincewide and all possible escape routes were sealed but the slippery Abra-born inmate eluded arrest by pursuing joint INPJ-PNP dragnet tasked to recapture her.

When she knew there was no way out a day after the escape, she volunteered to surrender at her residence in Brgy. Payas, San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, where the lawmen later picked her and caged her back to the jail.

To pay for a wrongdoing, OIC jail warden Benilda Sadian placed the recaptured escapee in the INPJ isolation room pending the hearing of her swindling, oral defamation and, grave threat cases. (tri-media report)
