CURRIMAO, Ilocos Norte, May 16– Florida Puyaoan, widow, of Brgy. Billoca, Batac City, reportedly drowned while swimming at Pangil beach, this town.
Police investigators said the victim allegedly suffered a cardiac arrest while dipping in the water.
Her in-law and companion Rosita Puyaoan, 72, widow, spotted the victim floating motionless in the water prompting her to call for help.
Rescuers rushed the victim to the municipal health unit but the attending physician failed to revive her despite the exerted effort. (tri-media report)
