BATAC CITY, Jan. 1–A young girl was injured at Brgy. San Mateo this city when a kwitis firecracker went wayward hitting directly her left face causing her one eye to swell, lawmen said.
She was taken for treatment at the emergency room of the MMMHospital here.
Investigation showed that New Year reveler Mario Lascano ignited the kwitis towards the air but it accidentally went to the ground direction hitting the innocent girl, his niece. (tri-media report)
