Lawmen arrested on Thursday, June 29 a suspected drug personality during a drug buy-bust operation in Ilocos Norte’s northern town.
A report said the suspect claimed he is an alleged cousin of a town mayor but arresting officers had not yet confirmed the veracity.
Police said the suspect, aboard his car, tried to elude the operatives when he sensed he was transacting with an undercover agent.
The patrol car later cornered him in the highways after a brief chase.
Found in his car include suspected drugs, a handgun, and ammunition, police added.
However, the suspect disowned all the ‘hot’ items seized by the police as he denied the drug trade charges against him.(Tri-media report)
