SOLSONA, Ilocos Norte, May 16– An elderly farmer was hit and killed by a lightning bolt while he and relatives were working in a cornfield near Brgy. Manalpac, this town.
Mayor Alex Calucag identified his dead townmate as Santiago, Alonzo, senior citizen, and a resident of Brgy. Manalpac here.
The victim was rushed to the municipal health clinic but a doctor declared him dead on arrival due to severe body burn.(tri-media report)
