Job fair held on Batac City Charter Day celeb

BATAC CITY, June 23 (PIA) – As part of the 10th anniversary of the cityhood of Batac, a Job Fair, dubbed Awis Trabaho Charter Day Job Fair was held last June 21 at the Imelda Cultural Center, here.

Marlon Soria, Public Employment Service Office (PESO) manager of the city, said the activity with a theme “Batac: Siudad a nalatak, umili a naragsak” kicked off the weeklong Charter Day celebration.

City Mayor Albert Chua expressed his gratitude to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) and to the various recruitment agencies for making the event successful.

At least 301 jobseekers seek for both overseas and local employment. They include fresh graduates from different universities and colleges in the province

Job vacancies offered during the Job Fair include professional, skilled jobs (carpenter, plumber, electrician, driver, heavy equipment operator, etc), call center agents, sales clerk, office works and many more.

Other activities in line with this city’s 10th charter anniversary will run until June 28. (TSG)
