Billoca’s accident-prone area claims another life

BATAC CITY, April 16– Ramon Agapay, 47, married, and tricycle driver, was killed when a speeding motorcycle accidentally bumped him while he dashed across the road at Brgy. Billoca, this city last night, police said.

Reports said the victim went to buy a cigarette in a store when the motorcycle on northbound direction accidentally hit him while he crossed the street.

Relatives said the victim’s legs and face sustained severe injuries.
Paramedics rushed him to the hospital where he expired upon arrival at the emergency room.

Meantime, the driver of the ill-fated motorcycle and his back rider were also treated for various body injuries which they sustained when both fell into the ground during the crash.

Maj. Allan Dauz, city police chief, said the area is accident-prone noting that last month two motorists also died due to an accident that occurred at the same place.

Residents said the place is extremely dark at night, hence it should be lighted to minimize road accident in the area. (tri-media report)
