Joaquin Dominic Tuzon, 14, of Laoag City, won a gold medal in the international taekwondo tournament held in South Korea last Oct. 28, coach Glenn Buenafe said.
The young Laoageño, who trained for three years in the taekwondo martial arts, was among the Filipino qualifiers for the said competition, his coach said.
A report said Tuzon is expected to be honored with an appropriate welcome ceremony when he arrives home in Laoag. (tri-media report)
